Synopsis

A biopic on the life of Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, Sanju intricately covers all the major phases of his controversial and highly eventful life. The film chronicles Sanjay’s prolific acting career, his phase of struggling with addiction, romantic relationships and marriages, infamous jail sentences, political involvement and several other significant facets of Dutt’s life. Ranbir Kapoor plays the titular role of Sanjay Dutt in the film. Other famous actors play the roles of different popular celebrities who played crucial roles in Sanjay Dutt’s life. Sanju is the most ambitious project for Ranbir, who has been preparing for the role for more than a year. Audience will get to see a slice of Sanjay Dutt’s controversial life on the silver screen for the first time ever.
