Denzel Washington is an American actor who is best known for portraying real-life characters on screen. A winner of multiple Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, Washington has appeared as the human rights activist Malcolm X in 1992’a Malcolm X, the boxer Rubin Carter in 1999’s The Hurricane, football coach Herman Boone in 2000’s Remember the Titans and the drug kingpin Frank Lucas in 2007’s American Gangster among others.
