MTNL Mobile Online Prepaid Recharge
Setup in 1986 by the GoI to introduce new services and upgrade telephone systems especially in the Metros, MTNL has expanded to cover all telecom services under various brands. It launched its GSM services under the "Dolphin" brand in Delhi while the CDMA service is provided under the "Garuda" brand. MTNL started offering pay per second billing with the TRUMP tariff plan. The company had a customer base of 8.06 million at the end of FY10. A 56.25% government holding helps the company remain at the forefront of technology induction. MTNL has entered the 3G with its offering 3G Jadoo.
