So, what just happened ?

Since last night, our entire team had been up and we were attempting to launch a solid upgrade to our website. The upgrade would have provided additional stability and a much faster turn-around time for recharges and bill payments.

We’ve not been able to pull that off. We faced some struggles on the way and we felt that a half-baked product that would do anything less than wow you, would be not worth it.

So we did not push that upgrade out.

We’re sorry to have so many of you waiting for the site to come back up. We will ensure we bring you what we feel will make us awesomely proud Paytmers.

  1. I am glad and I appreciate that PayTM tried the best for us. Things don’t work out well every time, its a wise decision not to push hard on it. Rome was not built in a day and today is not the last day of existence. So you can try again, learning from previous occasions. As one of the PayTMers, I am with you in all your best efforts.

      can u tell me whats th benefits with paytm…
      somebody gives the id of paytm and says that he recharged that account with rs.1000/- and charged me only for rs.900/- he gives 10% discount .. i m unable to understand cause there are no any additional benefits either of coupan codes, wch could be only reemed on particular websites as giving discount on purchase of products. plz provide me informations.

      • I can’t say about benefits but I can tell you about advantage. Paytm uses 256-bit encryption of VeriSign (you may know that the VeriSign is the most trusted and reputed CA and is now a part of the maker of the World’s No1 anti-virus) which is the highest encryption standard as of now. Most websites claims that they use 256-bit encryption standard but they are saying false. And with respect to your query, I would like to say that either that person has already a Paytm Cash balance of Rs 100 in its account/ID or it has used the promo code[s] for Paytm.

  2. As one of user from last one year. I am doing recharge on every 15th day. Never faced issue with paytm services and always got the response within time. I know that you are cooking something good for us, i can smell that and i can wait for that …

    I am using Pay tm last one of months, 26 Mar 2012 ,i am trying to access,your site msg shows as 11.30 hrs,12.30hrs,15.00hrs,16.hrs,16.20hrs, we back soon all those..Finally i got it on 27 Mar..Happy….

    So can you please tell us that what ‘struggles’ you’ve faced? Are they any private reasons that you can’t tell us? I am asking you this question because I didn’t understand that what you were doing for continuous 48 hours if you were facing ‘some struggles’. I wasn’t able to use your website for that period but I was excited for that ‘mysterious upgrade’ and I was eagerly waiting for it. But taking website back after 48 hours without something new disappointed me. So please at least tell me those ‘struggles’ you were facing so I could at least satisfy from your response.

    • None of this is private, Maaz. Our downtime of about 22 hours was way more than expected. So we decided to step back and not stop our service during this time.
      The downtime was sure distressing, and we’ve learnt to do better. Promise :)

      • Oh! So the ‘struggle’ was that the time in upgradation was taking more than expected so you decided to not upgrade at this time so your customers have to not face the inconvenience anymore. It’s OK! So you should practice for doing upgrade in less time. And Thank You Very Much for giving answers to my queries. And can you tell me the next schedule of upgrade at this time? :)

    I never had any problems since past 8 months using this site.
    You offer an exciting platform for user to recharge at one go.

    But recently (last night), i encountered issue with order no 23547857 & 23548233. Till this time, my balance shows zero. But website showed it has been recharged successfully. Payment also has been deducted from my card amounting to Rs 600.

    Please help me asap.

    I am using PAYTM for the past 9 months and always find useful and powerful.
    I didn’t face any problem at all but yesterday , i encountered issue with order no 23558935. Till this time, my balance shows zero. But paytm status showed it has been recharged successfully. Payment also has been deducted from my card amounting to Rs 330.

    Please help me to get the refund.
    Now I am in second thought whether is it safe to do online recharge when we don’t have any online customer suport(24/7).

  14. I have initiated transfer money back to bank for a transaction after it got failure.but cash not yet received in bank account after 8 days also .when i am asking my money back they are not even relying to my mails -through so called 24 x 7 customer care.

  16. paytm is one of the fraudulent company never trust them .they are cheater .i had to recharge on 8 th march for rs.112/-bsnl,they say it is rechared but till date i have never got rechared my mob.no.
    those who took money will never eat the food in peace .
