Recharge someone’s life!

What would you say if we were to tell you that as little as Rs. 50 can go a long way in helping secure someone’s future?

And what if we were to return that Rs. 50 to you after the money created the desired impact?

Incredible?

It’s true.

Milaap.org is an online microlending portal that helps raise funds for education, clean drinking water, sanitation, energy and enterprise development. Because Milaap believes that a loan is better than a donation, the money is given out as loans. This means that 100% of your money comes back to you.

Why should you contribute on Milaap?

  • 100% of the money you give goes to the end borrower
  • You get to see firsthand the impact you are helping create
  • 100% of the money comes back to you!

By simply adding Rs. 50 each time you recharge or pay your bill on Paytm, you can help an unemployed youngster undergo vocational training and find a job. Once the training is over, the student gets placed in a job and begins to repay the loan in monthly installments. You get an email from Milaap that helps you set up your account and track your repayments. At the end of 18 months, you get your money back!

So far, Paytm users alone have contributed a whopping Rs 45,000 to Milaap.org! Isn’t that awesome?

You can be a part of this movement too next time you visit www.paytm.com. On coupon selection page, simply check the Milaap box and do a little good with your next recharge. Or visit www.milaap.org directly and make a loan!

Making a difference is simpler than you think!

PS: Go on, show Milaap some love on Facebook and Twitter :)

  1. Ye sab bakwaas hai……………….If you really want to help go to nearest shop and recharge from there. These web sites are basically kicking the persons whose earning come from small shops like mobile recharge etc. through which they are earning only daily food.

I suggest if you recharge through shop the shop owner earns from that and even you need not required to give any extra money.

These web sites are earing daily and still asks us for help, why not owner spends only 1% of profit and help to whomsoever they want.????????

    • Hi ABHI,

Thanks for writing in. I don’t think we ever said or did anything against the local neighborhood shop. Nor do we intend to.

Would you react the same way of a new shop opened next to your old shop? I mean, that too would cause some profit hit to the incumbent shop-owner, wouldn’t it?

      Harinder

  2. I would suggest never lend money to such sites…………………….you have persons near you who need the money…………….If we help each other we need not require any web site to help others.

    • Nobody “lends” any money to Paytm.com, ABHI.

People pay us to get a recharge. We only offer a few extra coupons, for those who want. This is a free market the last time I checked.

  3. Hi all
never ever buy/recharge from PayTM. if the recharge is rejected, getting back the money from them is a problem.. no clarity in their dealings, no customer service contact numbers. i’d suggest, better avoid these kind of (para)sites.

    • PayTM is the best use of IT Infrastructure. Everything is going to be online soon. PayTM is for those, who have no time to go to shop. And, if you are getting recharged from your home, why to go to shop?

It’s simply best! I have no complaints for PayTM. In fact, i am one of Happy Users of PayTM.
